Beetles are among my favourites.

See the all black one. It is SUPERB, and I am trying so hard to get some more.

Sorry the pics are so small, I am used to forums were you can upload direct from PC (rather than use P/Bucket), and my g/f had downsized these, before they were put on.

Yup, that is one of my Weta.

There are huntsman spider pics on there, as well.

The all black one? Those are a species of predatory ground beetle, if you ever get the chance to get these, take it, you won't regret it.

The Weta are reasonably simple to care for.

Again, often hard to get.

I wish you'd moved to Fareham rather than your GF moving to Edinburgh Steve. I'd love to come and see your invert collection Those stag beetles are gorgeous!

Tbh, these pics do not really do them justice.

I did consider moving to England, rather than the other way around, however, this is a city of 600,000 people, and therefore, there were more opportunities for us here.

That said, I can more or less settle anyplace.

Lived in Tenerife for a year, and Marbella.

Eventually, I would like us to move to Malta.

My mother is Maltese.

Great place.

Barely any crime, the locals all speak English, and the girls have self respect in the way they behave with drink, etc.

Nothing more off putting that going through the city on a Sat night, in say January, seeing silly girls dressed as if it IS Tenerife, and can hardly stand, due to their abuse of drink.

Not a sexy look.

(Not that I AM looking!)
