Default Ivy in a planted viv?

I use the term viv very loosely, its just a rather nice container I picked up in Tesco for my avic.

I couldn't find any decent (or even nice) silk plants, but I did find a tiny little ivy plant for 98p. Is it alright to house my avic in with an ivy plant? I had a read at the planted vivaria thread but it doesn't mention ivy.

Wilkos had some silk and plastic plants on offer the other day. They were half price i think.

I've got my first T's coming next week, one being an avic. Thinking of trying Ferns when the avic gets big enough for its 'permanent' home

Ferns were what I originally wanted but the only ones I could find were far too big.
My tub is only 4"x4" at the base and 10" tall.

I don't know if ivy is in fact of any danger to a T, I mean quite a few inverts feed on the stuff, and Ts don't even eat plants.
Course this is not to say that food couldn't eat some before being nabbed by the spider.

I'm not saying risk it, but I wonder if this is one of those vertebrate only poisons, who knows? Anyone?
