Default anyone anygood wit british spiders?

My mum found this in her garden, its probably a lil bigger than a twenty pence coin but its bloody scary and a little violent!

Looks like Araneus diadematus.

The best place to photograph them is from the dorsal aspect (i.e the top) where the banding/spot patterns of the abdomen are more apparent.

It's a female A. Diadematus.
Colors vary from the dark and light forms.

my garden has 10000000000's of millions of these things, used to catch them when i was young, they were never agressive though, blow it and if the spider has a fit and vibrates an buzzed about, thats just a common spider

i used to have loads in my garden- its called a common garden spider i think

god knows but it is horrible we touched the web with a twig and in a flash it was out and on the twig!!

Yep.

I only posted "looks like" as I prefer not to say "it's 100% ....".

A rather notorious other forumite often did this and was frequently wrong!

I was going to try and breed these but I couldn't find any of them.
