IMO, there are little to no good books on keeping T's and scorps. they all have conflicting info; even when wrote by the same person. The scorpion books are normally wrote for the American keepers as they tend to focus a lot on the DWA scorps, which very few of us usually keep.

i've replied to your other thread with recommendations...ones i personally prefer over those, though the Tarantula Keeper's Guide is certainly thorough.
it just lacks individual species info, which i personally also like to have. so it is worth having that AND the ones i recommended.

Russ Gurley's has at least one error i can think of off the top of my head, it says to keep Chromatopelma cyanopubescens with high humidity. they are from dry scrubland, so keeping them dry is what every keeper and other book i've read says...
the error in Sam Marshall's book on the other thread says they are blue as young and adults...but at least he gets the care right!
however Russ does have alot of other good info, i can only guess that was a an editing mistake.

1. I hate this book. The information is really basic, and often off.

2. One of the best books you could ever get on tarantulas.

3. I'd also recommend "Tarantulas and Other Arachnids" by Sam Marshall. This is a fantastic book with some fantastic information and really good species accounts.
