Default A tarantula/scorpion for someone who doesn't like spiders???

I have always wanted a tarantual or a scorpion but to be honest im not the biggest fan of spiders. I like to look at them through glass but couldnt see myself holding it much or getting it out. Would this be a problem?

Also what would be the best tarantula/scorpion for a newbie?

Not getting it out will be no problem. They don't want or need interaction with humans

You will have to go into the enclosure occasionally though, to take out dead crickets or top up the water.

Im scared of spiders but love tarantula's. Because their big and fluffy almost lol. Not big skinny and skittery.

But im facinated by scorpions more, (sorry T fans).

I need to somehow persuade my mum considering its near christmas.

For beginner scorpions emporer scorpions are best.

Tarantula's - chile rose, curly hair, and mexican red knee are best I think.

They dont thrive off handling so thats a releif. Though id like to hold a scorp.

I got my tarantula because I was scared of spiders and wanted to get over the fear, It has worked so far I dont fear spiders now if I see a spider in the house I catch it and put it out side now ,I used to squish them.
I dont get mine out of its tank at all so that wont be a problem as they dont get anything out of getting held anyway.
It did make me get over my fear but it has not made me love spiders or anything ,just respect them more if anything.
I do have a scorpion also and I do love that much more than the T

just for you i'll post the not so zoomed in photo, they have a choice of wet or dry side, if they want to sit on the dry side its up to them im not going to try and tell them otherwise

The best way I can put this when people ask about handling is many people keep and enjoy aquariums filled with tropical fish and having never to handle it besides cleaning out. So a tarantula or scorpion could be seen in the same way, admired and looked at through glass but having never to pick it up.
