Default Nice of you to show your faces.....

Came down this morning to do the usual mistings and checks and had a couple of nice surprises. Both my Pterinochilus Murinus and Ceratogyrus Brachycephalus decided to show their faces for once so managed to grab some pics.

Pterinochilus Murinus

Ceratogyrus Brachycephalus

The same thing happens to me. I go weeks without seeing many of my more reclusive T's then suddenly one day they all seem to come out and say hello.

Thats the only problem with having reclusive T's but I think it makes it a bit more special when you do then see them make an appearance.

I haven't seen my Haplopelmas (albostriatum and lividum) in months. The lividum, I occasionally see a foot or four, but that's about it.

My P.murinus and P.chordatus are out all the time, but then again, the P.murinus is a MM.

As a note, when using scientific names, the genus is capitalised, and the species is full lowercase, ie Pterinochilus murinus, not Pterinochilus Murinus. Dan will tell you I used to do this all the time

My p.Cambridgei are very rarely seen, but then will make an appearance at the same time

hey just wondering. How long did it take your haplo's to bunker deep down in a burrow? Also did you dig a very deep one for them or not? I've dug a kind of starting place, a bit of a hole about 3" deep against one side of the glass(with cardboard covering that side as to encourage it to go against the glass). I've only had it about 30 hours to be fair, it's laid a bit of webbing down on the surface of the substrate and is sitting in the little crater with it's front four legs poking out, but it's not webbed down there. Is it likely to start digging to make my little starter area deeper and then webbing the top as to pretty much seal itself off?
