Talking Sling questions

Hi, first post

I have some questions about keeping slings, as I am getting one or two for my birthday. bear with me I'm new to this so sorry if these are stupid questions:

Can I keep them in the pots that they come in, or do I need to keep them in something bigger?

Do I need to heat the pots and mist them?

Do i need to feed them more often than adult Ts?

Hey man, check out my youtube video on how i keep mine: YouTube - Sling Caresheet

I feed mine the same amount i feed my other T's, so twice a week, but obviously i feed them smaller food items.
What slings are you getting?
I generally keep arboreals in tall vials that you get camera films in, and terrestrials in little deli pots, these tend to work fine. When the spiders legspan is about half that of the diameter of the pot then upgrade.
Want to keep them in a warm place, room temperature should be ok if you have a warm house, otherwise i would maybe put them somewhere warmer or on a heatmat or something. And misting depends largely on the type of spiderling, but generally i mist mine once or twice a week unless they prefer damper conditions.
Hope that helped.

Very helpful video, thanks

probably Grammostola Pulcheripes or Lasiodora Parahybana (I was told these were good starter species, correct me if I'm wrong )
I have a heatmat from when I used to keep other things so I think I should be fine.

Both are brilliant. I need to get some pics of my sling setups too...

As for the L.parahybana, well, be prepared to upgrade its container (not immediately, but they grow like weeds...).

Thanks, I have various sizes of kritter keepers lying around the house, so I should be prepared for that.
