Default problem wife

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this forum and I am probably quite unique as i have no reptiles. I want a tarantula, but my wife isn't convinced, can anyone advise me on a good beginners tarantula that could swing her round to my way of thinking?

Thanks

Rob

Firstly Welcome!

and im not all that good on tarantuals, but i do believe that a Chile Rose is one of the best beginners from what i have read.

if you look on the spider shop they have ratings of suitability for each species, and with pics so your wife may take a liking to one of the T's.

Good luck!

Spuddy.

Hi Rob,

The main genus you should be looking at are Grammastola, Brachypelma and Aphonopelma; these include common names such as the Chile rose, Costa rican Zebra and Mexican Red Knee plus much more if you want something a bit different try a tarantula from the United States such as Oklahoma Brown (A Hentzi), most (not all) of the spiders in these particular genus are docile, more importantly they are hardy, and as a rule can survive the mistakes that a begginer would make.

Hope this helps

Try an RCF Rosea
Very pretty girly colours plus if you get it from a sling it wil be tiny and pink and adorable

I have a G. rosea adult female available if you're interested. If you live in Essex you could pick it up and veiw how the various species are housed.

i am also new to tarantulas. last week i bought a chile rose female. she is so stunning, ideal for beginners. They tend to be calm and slow. they are a medium spider so they only grow to about 6 inch. they are really easy to look after too.
