Orchid mantises
How long after moulting should I wait before feeding again. My 2 l2 nymphs moulted yesterday to l3 . Also 1 has 5 segments and 1 has 7 does that mean I have a male and a female

Wait a couple of days before feeding, they will need time to harden up and wont be interested in food.
Males should have 8 segments and females will have 6 or 7. An easier way to sex orchids is that the male will have a brown "necklace" and females have a green one. It may be just visible at L3 but you will definately see it by L4.
