Default Docile my bum!

Hiii!

How many of you guys have got chile roses ? I'm just wondering if yours is actually docile ? I was doing the necessary cleaning today and found some almost liquidy wet stuff in the enclosure that at the time I thought to be mould, but when I tried to move her to clean it, bang, straight into threat pose. She literally threat poses at everything lol. So, it's still there... grrr...

Any of yours do this ?

Its not all that uncommon for some chile roses to be a bit bad tempered. I would suggest getting a long pair of tongs and some damp tissue and wiping it up with that.

Mines an RCF too, maybe she'll mellow soon... I'm going to stop misting her aswell, some people say they hate it, and she's been moody since I started so...

How often are you misting her? You only need to do a light misting once a week or so really.

If even that. They come from the driest deserts on earth ... I never misted mine - only provided a water bowl and all he did was putting dirt in ..

But mine was docile like a puppy ... Don't think he knew what threat poses or what uricating hairs are.

The bugger in a reptile shop in Wigan ( not the place I got it from, reptacular are FANTASTIC ), told me to mist her once or twice a day... no wonder she's pissy.

PFFT!

Mine was much happier before, she has no heat mat because our house is very warm, and was very very active before, now she's just moody... Urgh, poor thing. No more weekly misting if that. I told them all about the "driest desert on earth thing" and they said I was wrong ( my family... ), well... LOL.

Not as good as the one in Leigh, where I live...

" Feed your tarantula 4 crickets twice per week, if it leaves them, remove them or they'll eat it's feet "...

8 ? Are you having a laugh ?
