Default Help & advice

My Adult Chillean Rose tarantula has suddenly started acting very strange. Three days ago I noticed she was on the roof of the tank but thought it best to just leave her alone. I left her until this afternoon when I decided to have a look. I gently removed her but she seems awful lethargic and not herself.

Usually when i touch her she reacts very quickly but today she just doesnt care. I am just worried there's something wrong with her.

Anyone experienced anything similar or does anyone have any advice?
Cheers.

More information is needed, the size of the tank (including distance between roof and substrate), substrate used, how humid or hot the environment is, preferably a picture of the tarantula and an idea of cage decorations. It could be she fell and injured herself, could be premolt, could be absolutely fine.

Totally agreed, need more info.
Hope she's ok though!

Most of my spids seem to have gone a bit sluggish and off their grub. I think they're noticing the change in the weather.

Shes in a 24 x 12 x12.
Temp is always around 26, humidity about 75-80%.
Substrate is mix of bark and soil (both from rep shops so substrate isn't a problem)
There are no visible injuries.
She is 7 years old and I've had her over 6 years.
She has never went so sluggish before, do not think she's due a moult and don't understand why she would climb on to the ceiling if she was, usually she does some housework and spins a flat web before moulting.
She's not moved since i brought her down yesterday. I guess i'll just need to keep an eye on her.

Thanks again.

well the fact she was climbing at least shows she;s been active recently.

It might be that it is matched to sense a seasonal change even though your keeping it heated, so is slowing down slightly.
