the latter I'm afraid. Obviously I have no idea why the issue occurred she had been a lovely docile baboon, I added some moisture to the enclosure and a large cricket and this is what I came back to. I think the mites could smell death but I was rather hopefull of improvement especially after she was regularly taking food and water and the mites didnt recur.
