Default heat source-direction

Hey all, I keep sevaral cereal type enclosures in a modified viv so a heat source can be shared. The mat has been on the back wall of the viv and keeps the temp pretty constant.
As you can see from my pics ive blacked out the thinner parts of the tubs so to make my pokies feel more secure in their hides.
I spray the other side to provide water and as this side is next to the heat mat this provides the humidity.

The query I have is set up this way they are subjected to limited outside light and wondered if this could effect there cycles?
I was thinking of placing the heat mat on the roof of the viv and then placing the tubs in reverse order so the blackend side is at the back.
But would I be able to achieve decent humidity this way?

Experienced advice appriciated
