What do you look for in a spider?

Attitude
Size
colour
arboreal
terrestrial
Pet holes

or do you prefer a certain group? grammies, brachys, pokies, baboons etc etc?

Will give me some idea as to what i'd suggest

wow good question sounds like i want to date them lol
i want a good mix of both arboreal and terestrial.
i love pokies will definately get more
i like black spiders and brightly coloured spiders and black with subtle hints of colour.
a pet hole may be worth it for that rare glimpse of a fantastic spider
i like varying attitudes i want a few calm and docile and i also want some feisty ones
i like a good mixture really also thinking something communal would be nice

I wish my wife was like your partner, I have 9 t's and she has stopped me there as she says we have no more room. My wife likes my t's but don't want our house looking like a pet shop.

Well out of the spiders i own myself, these are some of my favourites:

Poecilotheria ornata - (Pokie, fantastic colours, good size, great all round spider!)

Avicularia versicolor - (Arboreal, very colourful when young and adult, fairly docile, nice looking spider)

Grammostola pulchra - (Black terrestrial spider, lovely velvet sheen, attitude can vary, some report teddy bears...some as monsters! lol)

Brachypelma schroederi - (very similar to G.pulchra, but like most Brachys, more regularly reported to have a lot of attitude, and mine personally are no exception! all 8 of them!)

Brachypelma auratum - (A dark coloured spider with orange knees, almost like a B.smithi but far more beautiful, large spider, very attractive, fairly docile, can be very flicky)

Acanthogonathus pissi - (A small spider, just enough attitude without being over the top, but stunning, one of the most stunning spider i own, with a proper shining gold sheen covering the spider, just lovely)

Lampropelma violaceopes - (A blue coloured spider like lividum and similar, though these guys reach a fantastic size as adults, very impressive)

As for cummunal, i have kept Poecilotheria fasciata communal before without a problem, and they're the only spider i would recommend going ahead with should anyone consider it, i had 2 adult females that have been together for at least 4 years and are still together now, and i know someone who has 5 sub-adults living together and have been all their lives without a problem. As long as they're the same size and well fed, there shouldn't be a prob

Thats all i can suggest out of what i own, obviously there are many more stunning spiders out there, i'm sure others will sing their praises for them

I can think of two which aren't in your collection, but definitely should if space and money are no object

T. Blondi

and

P. Metallica

I wish I could afford both, space and financially.
