this is the best described, but just to let you know that an ICU is last resort so this does mean unfortunately that there is a chance of death, but then i must say that if your lucky and things turn for the good, your tarantula may have a chance of survival so don't give up!

hope things go well

Maybe she's just sitting awkwardly ? My chilean rose does it sometimes, looks almost curled, but not quite, but then again, she's a little terror.

it was the way she moved as if she was staggering that worried me most.

if its like these three videos then your tarantula may have a rare case of dyskinetic syndrome:

YouTube - Dyskinetic Syndrome in Tarantulas.

YouTube - Sick Regalis

YouTube - dyskinetic syndrome (chaco)this video shows to me that the owner has already put the tarantula into an ICU as there is kitchen towel

unfortunately these tarantulas have or will die because they will either die of dehydration, or when a moult comes up, it will just get messed up!

but i must assure you that this is EXTREMELY rare!

I had a spider in the past showing similar symptoms and it was mites. However given the dry conditions and length of time you had the T then it would be unlikely but worth a check.

And Mike some people have kept spiders with dys syndrome alive for a year or more. It gets better with each moult but they never really recover.
