Default Im a celebrity... and im involved in animal abuse...

Half expected to see half a dozen rants on here today after watching Im a celebrity last night.

Sorry if ive just not spotted the thread.

YouTube - Samantha Fox with a spider in her mouth

Was when it was spat out was what raised my eyebrow. Just seemed unnecessary.

I flicked over at that point but it was that Italian guy doing it. Seemed very cruel to me. Trouble is that nobody cares as it's "only a spider".

They use animals as props in that show and it's disgusting.

Why dont they ever get them doing anything decent like building a log cabin to sleep in, or a treasure hunt to find 10 different types of seed? These things would be great to see in that kind of environment, but no...they always go for 'lets scare people with scary bugs'... most of which all us crowd have living in our homes as pets!

I didn't watch it either, probably better to not give them ratings than watch and let them think they are entertaining...
just seems weird how it's not monitored!

Spiders are invertebrates so are pretty much governed by the sames rules as what crickets and locusts are here. You can send them in the post, feed them to things etc.

Would you be having the same discussion if they had to put crickets in there mouths ??

No fair enough but this is just the way a lot of us think due to our love for spiders and a few other inverts. I'm sure they will never stop using these animals in there "entertainment" but it would be nice to see them treat these animals with a little respect
