Default tarantula digging...... right before tank cleanout

I was gonna clean out my chile rose tank tonight but then it stared digging and i dont want to disturb it is it ok to clean it out?

They don't really need or appreciate being cleaned out. They don't make much mess. All you really need to do is remove uneaten food or leftovers, and wipe any poo of the sides with a damp tissue

Well if its been like five years since it was last cleaned out then a clean out is probably necessary. :P

How long ago did you last clean her out?

Also, could be digging to make a retreat because she is coming up to molt. Has she been off her food, how big is she, when did she last molt?

ummmm she hasnt been eating much and i have no idea when she last moulted ive had her for a couple of months with no moult

Just let her do her digging then, no need to clean her out after just 2 months, unless you have something like a mite infestation in there.

I only clean mine out about once a year, if that. I cleaned my chiles tank out a few weeks ago and she's been sulking ever since!

Yeah, no need to clean her out then as Pickle said.

Only really need to clean her out once a year or so, but if you keep on top of food leftovers and poo, you could probably go longer than that.
