Default chile beautiful not eating

i bought a Euathlus Truculentus form The Shop that sells Spiders! thing is it hasn't eaten since i've had it. i didn't think it would be worth e-mailing them as i had a problem with the last order of spiders so i e-mailed and they didn't get back to me then and they definately won't get back to me now about this one. so, i'm turning to rfuk members to see if you have any ideas. there doesn't seem to be much info on this species on the net. it is the second tarantula i have had during 18 years in the hobby that this has occured.
any ideas welcome.
it's kept in the conditions that were recommended by the shop.
thanks for your help and suggestions in advance!!

How long have you had it?
How big is it?
Does it look fat and plump?

Either it is still settling in or going to moult I would say.

TSS (Assuming that is where you mean) are in a bit of difficulty at the moment and probably won't be replying to any emails.

Some spiders just don't eat much. I've got a female B. smithi which has eaten 6 crickets in about 8 months. She's not thin, she just isn't a big eater.

If your spider is plump and active, there's no cause for concern. It might just not be hungry, or it might be coming up for a moult.

E. truculentus species likes it very dry, so make sure the sub is bone dry and just provide a small water bowl.

yeah i realise that-its a shame i think! we bought quite a few spiders from them and we have had a couple of problems but all the other times they have been more than helpful-maybe i should have put that in my first message-i read it back and i sound a little short n sharp! thing is what my message is really for are ideas for my spider so maybe i shouldn't have even mentioned where i purchased it-it starts up a whole new conversation doesn't it-my bad!
so anyways:
i've had the spider now for approx 2 months
it is a young juvie-we haven't sexed it yet as it has not shed in our care
its not plump as such but being that it is small it looks fairly in proportion for its size but it doesn't seem very active and a small cricket can walk on it and it doen't even flinch.
i really think this one's a gonner.

I wouldn't give up on it, it might just need a moult and is taking a while to get round to it.

thankyou. i won't give up on it and i'll let you know how it goes in the next few weeks-i really don't wan't to lose it-i'm not used to losing my animals, and i believe that we have keeping T's down to a tee! but there's always the odd one or two that baffle us. lil' buggers! i'll keep researchin on this cute species and hope for the best it comes through it. in the meantime i perhaps will e-mail the shop and see if anything comes of it.
thanks again

I have some that run away from them too! lol
earlier my big bend gold wasn´t hungry and the locust was sat on top of her, but she´s fine, just didn´t want it lol

I bought one from the same batch. Its fed a couple of times, but I just reckon its due a shed.

Mine has gone quite defensive, so I'm just gonna leave her alone until she moults.

Let nature take its course, eh?
