Default Heat mat for slings?

As the title says! I'm about to get a sling and never had one before... will I need to follow the temp guidelines as you would for an adult?

if the room it is going to be kept in needs a heat mat then yeah use a heat mat, i use a heat mat on the side of my bigger enclosure's so i have heating for the slings (4 t's in 1 go). if my room gets hotter for what ever reason i either turn the heat mat off or move the pots further away from the mat itself. good luck hope this helps

What I do (although this is probably not practical if you only have one sling) is keep all my slings pots in a fish tank and heat the fish tank with a heatmat. I have that hooked up to a thermostat which is set to 75F so it flicks on and off.

What sling is it? If it's in a warm room it should be okay without any additional heating. Or place near another animal that does have additional heating. I keep my GALS and pray mantids on top of the warm end of my beardie viv which keeps that corner of my room fairly warm.

And my slings are in an exo cube with a heat mat taped to the side. At one point I had them near my crestie heat mat which worked in pretty much the same way. As long as they're in a warm area additional heating may not be required. As a general rule, think it's if you can sit comfortably in the room with just a t shirt it should be okay for the spider.
