Default Morio Worms

Hey guys, what is the nutritional value of morion worms for tarantulas? My brother has just got an avic avic and i am trying to think of a food source that won't die out as quick as crickets of locusts, and morio's live for ages i seem to remember. Any advice would be nice guys. cheers!

i think they are very high in fat, not as high as waxworms but still pretty high

I use roaches myself, but they are too inconvenient and expensive for my brother to use on just 1 tarantula.

Yeah, roaches all the way, I have a colony of turkistan roaches that I use for all my T's, also my mantids, scorps and reps love them!

I have used morio worms, but the disadvantage is if the T doesn't grab them straight away, they burrow and are never seen again.
I tend to use them for my greedy ones like the GBB and the blondi.

They do live ages though.

Too right. They really can burrow.

As others have said morio (meal and buffalo worms) will burrow and as Avics tend to stay off the floor they,ll mostly be lost to metamorphosis. With only one T he'll only need a couple of crickets a week but if he feeds them on dried food they should last longer
