Mantis id say congo green (big n hardy), think most millepede are easy right? as long as the temp right although i understand that some or most release a liquid which might stain clothes, apart from that there fine on organic safe veg n fruit, saying that havent kept millepedes this is just from people i know who have, but mantis i know of.

most mantis eat very well and the only thing u have to keep an eye on is humidity.

Alalomantis coxalis
Heiroula membranacae
Shodromantis sp
Rhombodera sp
are all considered easier species providing their basic care is provided and will also breed relativly easy too. Phyllocrania paradoxa and flower mantids such as Pseudocreobotra wahlbergii are also quite easy species but do need a little more care such as higher humidity so ar'nt really cosidered as beginner mantids.

No idea about millies

mines pretty much the opposite way round

the best beginner millies are basically the giant train, ghana amber, really. probably the chocolates, malay black, and the tanzanian red legged.

the flats and pill millies are some of the most difficult species to own.
