Default Damn you.

Any one ever got a good shed skin from a Pokie?
My af Regalis shed last night, and I have just sat and watched her kick the poo out of her shed.

Yep i have a perfect one from my ornata

at least i think i still have it, someone had a load off us, might have taken that one

Not had one since though, had a fairly decent one off a fasciata but i think a leg was missing, best way to get a good one is to get it right after a moult when its still soft, can be impossible i know as they're usually inside a bamboo tube or piece of cork bark, but if you can get hold of a fresh one and gently lay it out to dry works well! I have a box full of skins that i done this with, they are all intact and look like real T's

I have a few but I find they don't last long if left in the enclosures

if you get a skin and it's dried up just put it over the kettle when it's boiling so it gets steamed, loosens its up again and you can just reshape it

I've got a tub of moults from various spiders including a decent sized female regalis. If you happen to come over this way you're welcome to them.

Cheers for the offers but wanted one from her. She is sitting on top of it and she hasn't hardened up yet.

I aint bothered about that as she is not aggressive in the least, I just like to give them a couple of days to harden up before I disturb them to take photo's etc.

Before.

After.
