Default do spiders recover from dehydration?

came home this morning to find my crawshayi in what i thought was the death curl

luckily she must have only just gone into it as there was still quite a bit of movement and she immediately accepted a drink

the abdomen looked collapsed at 1st which is why i feared the worst but she has been in an ICU for the past few hours and the abdomen is back to full size and she is moving quite a bit, her legs are still curled but there is a massive improvement, will she be able to make a full recovery or is it just a matter of time now?

i've had an A.Seemanni that had dehydration but wasn't as bad as this

cheers,

Ryan

same thing happened to me except it looked like bert was on hot coals thought it might be dyskinetic syndrome, but he hadn't eaten for about 8 weeks and moulted in the middle of that as well, so happy it wasn't D S but after getting some advice from some of the guys here, a couple of days in icu he looks pretty good, still hiding his eyes behind his legs though. (don't think he like his new suit lol)
hope all goes ok

You're fairly lucky here, Ive only managed to get one back from suspected dehydration.
Anne Webb described the effects of dehydration quite well, suggesting it was like a sponge. It can be full of water or dried out, but if it dries out in the sun for too long it becomes brittle and past the stage of recovery.
