Smile how often should my spider eat?

hi all
i have a subadult chile rose burst, how often does she need to eat? i put some locusts in her tank, will she just hunt them or will she eat them all at once? also i cant see any evidence such as waste products etc.havent seen any locusts either, and is it normal for her to be on show? have never seen her in her hide she sometimes creeps behind the plant her favourite spot seems to be on the thermometer. also is it ok to handle her or should she just be left in peace? thanks for any replies to my questions, they will be much appreciated thanks.

Once or twice a week for feeding and chiles can go on fast's, they mite not eat for weeks even years. There is some debate about handeling if you couse to handle her do it really low to the ground.

Hi,
I wouldn't worry to much .. Chilian roses can fast for months/ years .. ours took a cricket for the first time in 8 months last week, and a spider will not deliberately starve it self.

Dont forget that if its coming up to a moult it may not eat.

And yes, it is normal for them to be on show ... they make excellent display spiders for this reason. Even if a hide is provided it may rarely use it.

Handling is up to you and there is much debating on it. I have handled Chilian roses without a problem but it depends on the individual spiders temperament. If you do, make sure you do it low to the ground ... maybe to get used to it, lay your hand flat next to the spider and encourage it to walk over your hand just to familiarise yourself first and check your confident ?

Good luck

I feed my G Rosea every few days and she barely misses a feed. She even ate 2 weeks before molting. As for handling my Rosea is the only grown on spider I have that doesn't mind handling but I only handle her if I need to move her.
