Default Togo Starburst

Ok so in a nutshell someone left a baby in a tub on my doorstep with a note saying they think i'd be better at looking after it due to my reptile rescue and experience with spiders over the years.

anyway cut a long story short i have no idea what to do with it lol, i read its an arboreal species ? but at 1cm its hardly gonna care right ?

For something so small what setup is best i mean it doesnt need masses of space granted just wanna get it right for this one so he gets a fighting chance.

I have micro crix and a bean weevil culture due to be delivered tomorrow too

Mine have both burrowed but but if you put it in a 16 oz pot with upright bark or something you will find it will burrow but also anchor its web to the bark. You will rarely see it also as they are pretty reclusive. Nice all the same tho. If you don't want it I'll take it off your hands you know

Micro crickets will be ok if it is around 1 cm or slightly larger. I also gave mine pre killed small crickets and it took these without issue.

Potting soil, coir etc. anything they can burrow in to but most people just use coir. Have got any plastic jars? If it's only a cm then the pot it is in should be ok for a moult at least. Just fill it 2/3 full and let it burrow. Easier for it to feed as well. I didn't see on your OP that it was only 1cm!

Right yeah, I keep mine dry-ish, but try not to let it dry out completely. It's got substrate and a vertical piece of bark, which it buried underneath

It rarely comes out, though it's been out a bit since it's last moult, waiting for food. It's taken flies as big as itself, not too shy around food. Hates light. Also, pretty fast, but you used to have cambridgeis so you'll probably be fine.

At 1cm, it will probably take down a small / medium cricket. I wouldn't waste my money on micros........they will all be out thru the holes or dead by thursday anyway!

I keep my babies in 250ml plastic drinks bottles (empty!) with a smidge of coir and a couple of plastic ivy leaves. Just drill the top with a few holes and keep dryish.

I like bottles cos they are less likely to run out when you feed them, cos they are quite quick!

Within weeks it will have the power to take down a small shetland pony! Easy, job done.

(The last bit was a small exaggeration).
