If they're kept correctly then this species could live for 30 years or more, and grow to around 12" SCL for females.

The turtles are free - cheap. The setup would be £200+

Yes think carefully before getting them. They need a huge tank, filters, uv light, heater and basking light etc...and work(tank cleaning) these ones are only about 18months-2yrs and a fair size already!
