Default Why the difference?

Merlin~adopted tortoise;initially kept in a viv ..now kept in a homemade enclosure..Fed on weeds, trex pellets and bean sprouts tomatoes, avocado (i know, only for tit bits occasionally)

mAB,KEPT IN VIV INITIALLY(ADOPTED BY ME) nOW IN ENCLOSURE...FED WEEDS ,PELLETS ,BEANSPROUTS ,TOMATOES,AVOCADO occasionally ~same as merlin ..but smooth as a babys bottom...Can anyone explain why? They were together when i adopted them ...and have been treated the same...Why is Mabs shell so much smoother than Merlins?
