Default What turtle is this?

This is Finley. We have had him for about 9 months now. The previous owners needed to get rid of him and 3 yellow belly sliders, we took them all in for temperary home until we could find new homes for them. The 3 terrapins went to a local aquatic centre and we decided to keep this little character. Does anybody know what sort of turtle he is?

I'm pretty certain it's a female map. I'd need to see clear shots of the eye, and top of the head to say much more than that. In the wild they live in deep, fast flowing rivers and as such are excellent swimmers, you should have as much water as possible in your tank - just make sure it can't climb over the top or touch the lights.

Female False Map. Why have you got turtles and terrapins seperated in your sig? They're the same thing unless you're talking about Diamonback's but I'm sure you'd know if you had one of those.
