Mostly cooters, I see a cumberland and a yellow belly in there aswell though! The top pic is a good example of a Florida red belly (cooter) , the one in the 3rd pic looks to be a river cooter (possibly eastern) , sliders in pics 6, 7, 8 & 9 (9 being the cumberland). Another Florida red belly in pic 10, a river cooter in the two below that, and the last pic appears to be another Florida red belly. You've certainly got your hands full with those alone!

i dropped the camera last night while taking fotos of the snakes, so no more pics....i was gonna show the huge 5'tanks etc

the largest, sleeps onland, and climbed out the other day and found it in the middle of the living room..

no agression, even with 3 males etc.

only 1 has a really red belly..
you can see some of the shapes of the shells, like how they came, guess was a bad diet..

did you see my post on the softshell and the mouse?

With Florida red bellies, the colouration on the underside seems to range from yellow - neon orange (I've never actually seen red!). The top turt pic looks to be a river cooter, next one down is almost certainly a FRB, with the last one you describe as having faded red ears looking like a cumberland slider (they often have orangey ears). I've got three rescue turts, all of which show signs of poor diet/husbandy. Typically you'll see turts from this background with lumpy shells (often caused by overfeeding, and too quick growth) and in a couple of mine the keratin scutes have actually corroded, I assume this was caused by not having an area to dry out properly. Yeah I saw your male chinese softie, that apparently laid an egg!

one of the turts has missing front claws, it came as pair of someone off here in the summer, they were in the quaranteen pond for 3 months, i was tod they had been treated by a vet and given the all clear and been fine for months now.

yeah some of my have lumpy shells, esp the massive ones..the fotos you cant really get a scale how big and many came with bad shedding shells, but soon came off..

they were all outside in the ponds until a month ago

shell curling is cos of too much protein a book says and the fotos show some on that on mine...all now eating vet, trout pellets and king brit and other turt pellets

the softie ripped a mouse to pieces in seconds and nowt left...fur, bones etc!

i might have to give up the reps, costs are killing us, but i still want to get the pond done in the spring for the yank turts, they loved it outside basking

one prob you'll have is that cooters don't hibernate well, I'm looking for Ideas for mine for next winter some form of heating, can't find out what the lowest temp they can stand, so think will have to keep it at about our summer temp. any Ideas????

they all came as YBS and a lot from on here. and were hibernating fine, slowed down and at the bottom of the pond, had to bring them in though as it wasnt deep enough for the bad frost etc as not 4' deep over the winter...
