I wouldn't underestimate an APH they can get over/on top of some unbelievable things - mine can climb on top of his house which is at least 6/7inches high. Maybe put on a screen door on some hinges on the bottom enclosure. Looks great though!
Oh, also I wouldn't bother with the light for the APH. The ambient temp should be high enough for it.

wow how posh are your torts then!!!

Lots of hard work gone into that, well done you!

I aren't meaning to criticise but can I make a few suggestions please? I'd replace the sand for the tortoises with soil as it enables them to dig more naturally, doesn't dry so much and won't irritate their eyes which 100% sand will probably do over time.

Also the basking light neds to be hanging straight down and not at an angle for them as itcan cause eye problems.

And I'd also recommend you change the hay (is that hay in the houses) in all 3 as i can hold moisture and therefore cause mold and can also irritate eyes.

As for the APH yep I'd make it higher - maybe try some flyscreen, which still gives great visibility. I've got a hoggy coming on Monday (whoohoooo!!) and have been told they can be good climbers etc - would be awful for your little guy to have a fall or accident.

Sorry to sound negative, but I'm sure you'd rather get things right for the tortoises rather than have problems or them poorly
