Default Introducing.............

George and Lenny! I rescued them from someone who was keeping them in a fish bowl with a bit of wood to climb out of. They were tiny, ill-looking and weren't eating

Now they're in a 3 foot tank and they're eating like a couple of fatties and they're tripled in size in the last 4 months. To be honest, i'm not 100% on what species they are but from what i've seen in shops, i think they're yellow bellies.

Lovely

The bottom one is a Yellow bellied slider, not sure about the top one! I'm not brilliant at id'ing sliders & cooters

They do look slightly different but I wasn't sure if they were male and female. The smaller one on the bottom (George) has red just behind the eyes and a slightly lighter shell than Lenny

They're almost certainly not the same species, but the photo is too blurry to tell exactly what they are, if you can post some clearer photos it should be possible to give positive IDs. I don't think either of them is a YBS BTW.

Well the top one is basically a YBS, but the red patches indicate that it's a hybrid, probably YBS x RES.
The bottom one looks like it's a Cumberland Slider, but it has quite bad scute retention making it hard to see the carapace patterning clearly.
Can they get right out of the water and dry off completely? What lighting and heating do you have? And is there a lid on the tank?
