i don't really believe in tortoise pellets,

there's no need to pay for tortoises to eat when there are so many weeds outside!

even over the winter months there are loads of weeds that can be picked.

i've never seen tortoises eat pellets in the wild!

i agree - but tortoise/fish pellets do supply a good portion of protein especially for redfoots.......

yeah, or hingebacks, but on the other side to that too, i could always find things like mushrooms and other protein-y things that i'd have in the garden or cupboard.

each to their own though y'know?!

as long as the torts are healthy.
