Default Possible Seychelles Giant Tortoise

I was working in Blackpool Zoo for a few weeks and took some pictures of Darwin. He's possibly a Seychelles Giant Tortoise which would mean he is one of only 12 left in the world. Apparently they can't figure out if he is or not, dunno why though! He's rather large, he weighes around 50 stone!

Anyway...

And one of a Sulcata Tortoise:

He was massive! He's just had his shell polished so it's looking exceptionally good there

It is indeed a Seychelles giant tortoise, most probably a Dipsochelys dussumieri. By contacting the Nature Protection Trust of Seychelles, and its director Dr. Justin Gerlach you might find out more of this tortoise.
Of D. dussumieri more then 10.000 specimens walk on the island of Aldabra, but the 2 other species, D. arnoldi and D. hololissa are actually quite rare.

He's lovely, but it seems that he's already known as an Aldabran (seychelles) giant tortoise.
He's listed on ISIS as Aldabrachelys gigantea rather than the rarer species remaining.
https://app.isis.org/abstracts/abs.asp

Nature Protection Trust of Seychelles have been reviewing potential rarer specimens in captivity and conducting genetic research, so I suspect that if he wasn't an Aldabran Blackpool would already know
