LOL Seth! I love it. He never basked for me since he was born.
On a side note, I have got a spare female now, would you still like her? I can drop her off Thursday, let me know when you get this.
Alex.

Fozz that is awesome! I love the way they stretch out when basking. Ah, who needs kids when you have turtles?

Could a musk be kept with two cooters? If i require a way for them to climb from the bottom to the surface (Read they need it)?

When it's grown up it could...... Musks will dominate the floor and cooters will dominate the water, but musks can be very aggressive, especially males......

Would they not bask?

Whats the reason for not being able to be in the tank when they are young?

Just size differences to be honest....... If they're all the same size you might get away with it.......
I can't remember exactly when you got them, but I'm guessing yours would be 2 or 3 inches?? At the same age, the musk would be half that and would be bullied out of food and for the best basking spots......
Babies and juvenile musks bask quite alot..... Adults stay primarily in the water.... Some research suggests that there is no proof UV light effects a musk turtles metabolism like a basking species, but most keepers choose to anyway, especially whilst still young.....
