Default Turtle ID help needed please (PIC HEAVY)

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help ID these 4 turtles. They were handed over to me and just wanted to know the exact species. I think one of them (Turtle 2 in the pics) is a yellow belly and was told the last two are ridgebacks?

I have attached dorsal view pictures of the 4 turtles below, and any more pictures (ventral, side, head etc) can be found here: Picasa Web Albums - robward2001 - Turtles

Any help is appreciated

Kind Regards

Rob

1, 3 and 4 are all Map turltes

Number 3 is definately a False map (yellow 'hockey stick' pattern can be seen clearly on the top of the head)

Number 1 looks like a Mississippi Map and number 4 like a Ouachita map - but better photos with the turtles sticking their head out would confirm.

Number 2 looks like a Yellow bellied slider, but again, clear shots of the patternation of the head would help, as would a picture of the plastron.

Agreed. The Ouachita map turtle appears to be a male, which are not often seen in captivity.

Ouachita maps in general, or males? I have one, and I want it to be a male, purely for my own selfish reason that it will be smaller! I'm willing to bet it'll be a girl though
