Default My Horsfield Tortoises

Hey! Just thought I would share some pics of my three little Horsfields.
George - I hatched George myself in August 2008. She's a little cutey!

Charlie - Charlie is George's hatchmate! He's a great climber and love climbing his straw shelter and then 'sliding' off the top

Luna - I bought Luna last september. She around 2 years old and is definitely the more easy going of the three

Its possibly the playsand your seeing or finely crushed oyster shell which makes a nice substrate just under the lamp as it heats up to just the right temperature for them.

Well it is just calcium carbonate and won't do them any harm to eat the odd piece and could add additional calcium when its needed. I'm not sure about other shells. As I bought the finely crushed oyster shell from a petshop. I think its more often used for birds so you'd maybe find it in that particular section.
