Default would you ?

ok so most people now wont sell to people under th age of 16 as there are that many people out there that just impilse buy without knowing how to care for it.

my question is would you sell any of your animals in the classifieds to me as i have enquired about other animals before on the odd occasion (not on here) and the sellers have said that they cant sell to me......they havent given a reason just said they cant sell to me.

do you think it has anything to do with the area i live because i live in a not very nice area but it is a lot better then a lot of places and i think this gives people the impression that im well.....bad but im not and anyone that knows me will know this.

sometimes im interested in a animal but kinda dont want to enquire because i think they will just say no.

ok so back to the q would you sell an animal of yours to me ?

I don't think age should be too important. half the people on here are 16 and under.

When I'm selling I go more on their experience or willingness to learn. I'm sure if you enquire and show you're not impulse buying or that you've done your homework no prospect seller should have a problem due to your age.

depends on the animal i supose.

eg:

if you wanted to buy a burmese python from me and asked what type of insects to feed it on id say no!

however if you sed to me i want your burm, ive been looking for ages and done my homework, heres a picture of my room sized vivarium all fully set up and my two flatmates are here to help me carry it. then id be more inclined to say yes.

Generally speaking, no.

I would sell to your parents if they were knowledgeable enough. If you were the only one with any kind of knowledge then I would not sell to anyone under 18.

I'm not saying all under 18s are like this (or that when you hit 18 a switch suddenly flips in your head - it doesn't) but a lot of teens go through phases, and can easily get bored of things. Unless your parents knew how a reptile needed to be looked after, there is no guarantee that it will be cared for if you did happen to get bored of it. e.g. suppose a teen gets a little bored or finds something more interesting, and only feeds their animal a couple of times a week (obviously talking about lizards, not snakes) - if their parents don't know how to look after the animal, then they wouldn't ever know that there was anything wrong with it.

Having said that, there are some under 18s that I know that would be / are excellent animal keepers. I also know a few over 18s that I wouldn't sell to.

I dont think your area is bad as doncaster is not realy a 'ghetto' is it lol.
so thats not the problem. Your age is no problem as long as you show maturity and a knwoledge of what you want.
If you had all this i would not have a problem selling to you

Phil
