Obviously I still adore both, but I think Lizards are probably my option. I certainly mean no offence to the resident snake lovers of RFUK, but to me, lizards seem to show expressions more, and seem to respond to the outside world better. In my opinion, they're a little more "lovable", but I suppose snakes are too. As I said before, no offence intended.

I hate these polls!

Seriously, I keep almost entirely lizards now, but my reasons for doing so are personal rather than because I think they are somehow "better" than snakes. Every creature is interesting and has things to recommend it, or at least things that should make a rational person stop in admiration. Even the humble single-celled creatures have got a whole load of working parts running inside them like a Swiss watch.

Also I think a lot of us tend to specialise as we get older and find we have accumulated experience in some areas, while not having the time or resources to get involved in other areas (eg chams, frogs or tortoises).
