But the fact that the people have been granted a DWAL shows they have proved they have adequate security and knowledge to look after these animals, so there shouldn't be a risk to anyone.

Surely to make public what animals are being kept and where, increases the risk of people wanting to steal dangerous animals and sell them to people without licenses, who won't provide the proper housing or care for them.

Good point, people are getting their dogs stolen so why wouldn't unusual reps be any different. Si makes a good point as well, the fact that a person has a DWAL shows they are competent to keep that type of animal. I don't tell my neighbours what I keep in my house, basically it's none of their business.

I'd be over the moon if the council told anyone who asked that there's (for example) 3 thousand pounds worth of venmous snakes and exotic mammals in or around my property!

I quite fancy and Audi RS8, do you think the DVLA will tell me where all the local owners are in my area? I want to talk to them about how they find them on the motorway, and how they do on fuel.
