Default What is formed pine shelving

What is formed pine shelving ..i know now pine is bad for reps but is formed pine real pine ? just because we have a few shelves in are iggy room that are formed pine wouldnt like to poison him mentioned this in a nother thread any help

From memory on formed pine shelves yes they are indeed pine shelving but they have been shaped into a form which is where the name come from.If you treat the timber well it should not be harmfull as in most cases with shelving the timber is cut then kiln dried so that any residue dries out thoroughly.I would say to add a couple of coats to varnish to the shelves but if you are worried then replace them with mdf or similar material.
