Default Reptiles and pregnancy/ children?

I want to know people's thoughts.

Obviously I know its fine to have reptiles and kids provided precautions are taken, but how many? Has anyone decided to get rid of any reptiles because they found it too much work?
I've had to hand the care of my boa over to my bf as I nearly threw up feeding him the other day (I'm pregnant.)
Our pets do take a lot of work, and I am worried. If it is going to be too much then I want to sort it out now as its going to be really upsetting, but I'm really not sure exactly how much work the baby is going to be. Of course I'm aware of every aspect of looking after a child and that is going to be a lot of work, time and energy but I guess you can never totally know the impact its going to have until it happens.

I think when the kid gets older it will be great, but I would hate for the animals to suffer because they're not getting enough attention (we handle them all a lot at the moment.) And I'm thinking maybe they would be better off with people who could give them enough attention (even though just the thought of it is really upsetting

What are your opinions? What would you do?

I had far fewer reps before my missus than now, and we were okay through the whole lot. The only thing we really struggled with was our rabbits, so we got rid of those.

I only had cornsnakes while i was pregnant and they're pretty low maintenance at the best of times, lol
when my little girl was very small it was hard work but provided me with valuable 'time out', since she turned a year old I've added 5 more snakes to my collection and cope fine. i think it depends on the snakes though, I had a very aggressive ratsnake and was so paranoid about 'what if it got out??' i just had to get rid of him.
hope this is some sort of help to you angel, you can always PM me!
