Default Corn Snake

i have just bought a corn snake and she is 3 years old.

while i was adding a heat mat into the viv my partner had hold of her, then the snake went for my partner, within a flash the snake coiled and shot her head at my partner, my partner didnt know if she had the mouth open or not.

apparently she was fed on friday. this is my first snake and my partners father had a consticter (excuse spelling as even im shacking over this).

the snake tried to shoot down the back of the sofa but i gently eased her out and put her in the pillow case.

then transfered her to the viv where she instantly tried to get back out but i hushed her in gently with the rolled up pillow case. she has now hid in the hiding place in the cool end.

do i just leave her for a few days or try again tomorrow.

is this normal behaviour or have i got a problem.

You're supposed to leave the snake alone (no handling at all) for at least a week when you first get it because it is a very stressful time for the snake.
