Default want to make a proper reptile room...

Okay, as it stands i have a spare room in my hous, its a small bedroom, and it currently houses my boas and my MBKS, howver, i want to make i a proper reptile room.

i can get viv stacks built and that...but i have on issue, there is only one plug socket in the room, atm i have one large extension lead with 10 plug sockets on it, with 4 being used for the snakes i have in there at the mo, if i was going to make a proper reptile room, id need alot more plug sockets, so im worried there could be a fire,

anyone know how i go about making it safe???

sensible answer sonly pweez

Even yhough the plugs are fused you are overloading the current socket, get some more fitted before you add to it

i am an electrician and i would either get a radial circuit(20amps) or a ring main(32amps) installed just for that room and ensure it is rcd protected.that way you'll have it as safe as you could for your animals and you. to be honest a 20amp radial would prob be more than adequate and in my opinion and lots of other sparks,a radial circuit is alot safer than a ring main,so a 20amp radial that is rcd protected just for that room would be great

defo get an electrician in before you do anything, mite cost a bit and make a bit of a mess but jus look at the damage that was caused by a fire in the snakes section, not worth taking the risk
