I have opened the web site HerpBreeder-General - Welcome - News ... I would be grateful if some people take a look around and tell me what you think.

If you are a breeder please feel free to register....

and just as important... if you fancy helping out with the admin ... please let me know.

Please note ... THERE IS NO NEED TO REGISTER IF YOU ARE NOT A BREEDER. There is no forum or anything attached to it whatsoever. You can read all news and see all members without registering.

With the Animal welfare bill coming into force and forthcoming restrictions on transportation of animals, it seems sensible to list breeders of animals and where they are in order to obtain captive bred animals.

Any breeder can register free of charge and enter as many contact details as they feel comfortable with such as email, MSN, Address... Email is the only mandatory field.

Then, when you have news of animals that you are breeding, you post details in the relavent news section. A moderator will then check the news item for spelling etc and publish it. So please do not be alarmed if your item does not appear immediately.

All news items and membership will be searchable by registered and non registered users, that is anyone who has internet access can search the site, so please be accurate in news that is submitted for publication.

All registered breeders also get an optional page to put what they like on such as details that are not covered by the standard membership forms.
