I know you can't take certain things from the wild but is their any species of snake you can?
And have you?

it's a nice day today and we'll get some good drying going on and the creeks are up... salamanders and snakes will be out... newts are always out... i could try to catch a snapping turtle....


visibility will be great as it's not all greened-up here yet...

we'll see. i'm going along pond run and to where timber rattlers are very common... i might be able to find the big den site there... with the undergrowth gone at this time of year...

... bugs are out some... deer and turkey should be easy to spot.

Hmmm yeah SNAKES

i can take anything.... timber rattlers are supposed to be protected... but i wouldn't take one anyway...


... ringnecks and red-bellied snakes are out along with garters... birds are begining to nest so with some warm days, the black rat snakes will be climbing...

i hope i see one of those climbing timbers this year...
