another media enhanced BS...

a 8 foot burm, is virtually harmless, and cirtainly not "deadly!"

ffs why do people do this.

people read, or hear about this "deadly" snake on tv, then when i mention i got one, people are like "arnt you worried it will kill you" or "have you had its venom removed" etc.

whynot just do the whole "poor little abandoned animal" thing?

After reading the article my sympathy is with the "deadly" snake (sorry can't even type that without chuckling at how innaccurate that description is).

exactly my point...it is deadly to rabbits though, and possibly the odd cat.

another case of some mindless idiot buying a burm because they have the word python in them and there cheap and within a year 'setting it free' because they " didnt realise how big it would get".......yet more bad press for reptile keepers

or maybe im pesamistic (sorry cant spell)

it may be deadly to a very small child perhaps but classifiying it as a deadly snake is a bit over the top, and it was a small snake really on burm scales, the worst thing is how anyone can could abandon it when they obviously havnt had it a great deal of time with no thought for the snakes welfare
