i am moveing into a new house soon and the house has a garage attached to the house..

it is insulated although the garage door opens fully ..

so that could let some heat out although poss only down to night time temps or i just run my portable radiator on a stat and keep the temps the same ..

all there will be is racks ..

wooden racks with tubs and if need be i can insulate the rack on the outside by making a sandwhich.

im sure over heating shouldnt be a problem as the mats and radiator will lower to get the right temp.

You might want to consider getting the garage door bricked up as they tend to have a lot of gaps so you end up with a draft. I used to use a garage in my old place and had to brick it up in the end as even with some insulation over it and heating I couldnt keep the temps very stable in the winter. Also another reason to get it bricked up is garages are very easy to break into. Only around a month after moving everything in there in the summer I had several young bci morphs stolen and that was with an alarm. They knew what they were after and must have been in and out in minutes.

Spend a bit of time planning it exactly and get it fully lined and plastered, if your going to do something might as well do it so it looks pretty and lasts.

since you dont have very many reps right now why not just make it easy and keep them indoors maybe ?

if its a rented house also you could go to a LOT of expense doing up the garage only to have the lease cut short and the landlord for example sell the house.. then it would have been a weaste of money and time...

I used the thickest kingspan
Over the door i have a thick curtain to keep the heat in.
I use tubular greenhouse heaters on a thermostat to keep the temps correct
