hi, my reptile insurance is needed as i run a reptile business so its slightly different but the principles are the same, not sure what you will pay as it all depends on you circumstances but £20 per month is more than enough(thats still less than £5 per week), (i pay loads more LOL ) as long as you pay, ur reps are insured against illness and all vets bills are taken care of after you pay an excess.
you can also have insurance against theft, loss and death it all depends on what you want, it pretty much works the same as any other type of insurance,
regards
shane

I don't think it's worth getting insurance for reps as it's rare they get ill if looked after well. I did get a quote for a friend who has only got one corn a while back and that worked out at £8 a month. Thats quite a lot of money to insure an animal that may never have to go to the vets. I take my reps for a check up every now and then and it only cost about £14 each if no medication is needed. I personally think the money you pay for insurance would be better spent on another rep

No i understand where your coming from its just ive had my reps for bout 2 years now and they have never been ill or had anything that worried me, so all am sayin is it would prob cost me more to pay say £15 a month on insurance than it would to just pay a one of vet bill.
The only reason i mentioned the price of the rep is cos insurnece usually covers accidental death or injury froma third person etc so if a had a snake that cost bout £7000 id want it insured incase somethin happened to it.
