For all those who attended the show at the weekend I thought I'd add a DPA letter for you to cut n paste to get copies of the 'alleged' video footage taken during the show.

I can think of no better way of giving these people a headache at the very least than by all of you sending in a DPA request along with your £10 fee and proof of identity.

They have 40 days to comply with your request so should keep them busy sifting thru the 'alleged' hrs of footage to find each person and sending them a copy. I would send out said request via Special delivery so that it is delivered by Noon the next day AND signed for giving you proof of delivery and who accepted it. Also point out that any footage taken cannot be used by a 3rd party ie BBC, ITV etc as they don't have permission to show you/your family etc.

I am writing to request all the information to which I am entitled to under Section 7 (1) of the Data Protection Act 1998. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining the area and occasion on which your group may have compiled information on me.

I would be interested in any discussions or opinions expressed within your group of my person, reputation, character, history or behaviour, actual or perceived.

I should make it clear that this request should also cover all or any other information you may hold. I hope that you will be able to comprehensively search all your records. The definition of “Personal data” under the Act covers both facts and opinions about myself as an individual, as well as information regarding the intentions of your group towards myself as an individual.

This request should therefore cover any internal/external memos, emails, faxes, video's and any other correspondence or readily accessible data held on computer by your group, which could be classified as ‘personal data’ under the 1998 Data Protection Act.This covers both manual and electronic data.

I enclose photographic proof as confirmation of the above being my home address, a photocopy of my passport to aid your identification and the required fee.

I understand that under the Act, I should be entitled to a response within 40 days. I would be grateful if you could confirm in writing that you have received this request. I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Unfortunately that is the only way to get the footage under the DPA, you have to prove you are who you claim to be.
