Well the last time i checked it was 36"(L) X 18" (D) X 36" (W) cutting it in half would make it 18" tall would that be too small?? if so i can get rid of this current one and then get another thats a better size but still my main priority is to convince the parents

18'' sounds too small for a beardie and another one.
What kind of lizard do you want? another beardie? it would be better to get a larger viv or a double viv unit.

Even if you were to convince them there is still the issue of quarantine to think about.

First off its 18" deep and 36" high but if i was to split it in half then it would turn out to be 18" high, i wouldnt ever house 2 beardies together because i know that they are terretorial and they wouldnt get along so they would both have 18" high vivs.

And peaches what do you mean about Quarantine?

All animals can be territorial but cant beardies be housed together (obviously not males together but 1 male 1 females or 2 females. Either way there be no point dividing it as there isnt enough space for them. Could divide them for smaller lizards but not beardies.

Quarantine is when a new animal comes to you but it is kept seperate from the rest of your collection because there is a chance it is habouring parasites/disease that could be past on to your other animals.

The main illness I can think about with beardies is adenovirus. Fecal exams can be undertaken, keep the animal seperate for a few months until you are certain that it is in tip top condition and no threat to you other animals.

Quarantine IMO is not stressed enough.
